The Hagerstown Morning Herald, December 22, 1930:
MRS. LAURA STONEBRAKER, widow of the late J. Frank Stonebraker, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leila Hershey, in Gaithersburg, Md., after an illness of four months, aged 81 years.
Mrs. Stonebraker was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran church, and lived in Hagerstown nearly all her life.
Besides her daughter and ten grandchildren, she is survived by an older sister, Miss Mollie Shafer, and the following nephews and nieces: S. M. Shafer and Miss Grace Schindel, here, Roy Schindel, of New York; Mrs. Jas. Mason, of Durham; Mary, Victor and Wilbur Emmert, of Montgomery county.
Services at Gaithersburg at 10:30 Tuesday; interment in Rose Hill cemetery at 1 o'clock, Rev. J. S. Simon officiating.
