The following information was supplied by Margaret Slopp who is transcribing York Co., PA newspaper articles.
(And, yes, the name was spelled Sprenkle in the headline and Sprenkel in the body of the article.)

Sprenkle - Glassick
John F. Sprenkel, son of Mrs. Mary C. Sprenkel, 216 South Penn street, and Miss Esther Louise Glassick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Glassick, 160 South Pine street, were married on Wednesday night at the home of the bride. Rev. James McKendree Refley, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church performed the ceremony. The couple was attended by Edward E. Sprenkel, a brother of the bridegroom, and Miss Eleanor Baughman.
The bride wore a gown of white net and carried a bouquet of white roses. Miss Baughman wore georgette over blue taffeta. Miss Violet Seeger played the wedding march from Lohengrin. During the ceremony, she played "Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms." Following the ceremony, a small reception was held after which Mr. and Mrs. Sprenkel left on a wedding trip to Lake George and Lake Champlain. Upon their return they will reside at their newly furnished apartment at 180 South Pine street.

The marriage took place on 24 Sept 1919.
These are the parents of Dr. Esther L. Sprenkel-Segel, who has done quite a lot of research on the "Sprinkle" family. Kristy sent me photocopies of two charts Esther created in 1999, which have helped me considerably.
This lineage traces back as follows:

John Fishel Sprenkel & Mary Catharine Graff
