----
Arabella Mumma Asks for Decree of
Separation from Husband
Arabella Mumma, throught her solicitor,
George M. Stover, Chambersburg, filed a
bill asking for a divorce from her husband,
John E. Mumma. The bill of complaint
alleges that the couple were married in
Hagerstown in November, 1877 by Rev. Charles
M. Holt. Shortly after the marriage they
went to Iowa to reside and about a year
later returned to Maryland. The two lived
together until 1896, when Mrs. Mumma alleges
her husband desertd her and has been absent
ever since. She asks for an absolute divorce
and such other relief as her case justifies.
