**** Benjamin Franklin Meyers (Page 5-7)*****
{Rosa S. was Benjamin F. Meyer's daughter}
Rosa S., married Ellis L. Mumma, a street railway contractor of Harrisburg. Their first born child, Winifred, a beautiful and talented young lady, died of typhoid fever at the age of twenty. They have one child living, Benjamin Meyers Mumma.
One thing that is interesting. Winifred's uncle, William Kuntz Meyers, named one of his daughters, Winifred Mumma Meyers, born in 1904, in honor of her. Winifred Mumma Meyers never married and her full name appears on her tombstone. It took some detective work to figure this connection.

Sudden Death of Granddaughter of Hon. B. F. Meyers, at Huntingdon
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Many people in Harrisburg were shocked yesterday at the news of the death of Miss Winifred Irene Mumma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis L. Mumma and granddaughter of Hon. and Mrs. B. F. Meyers. of this city. Miss Mumma only a short time ago spent a week with her grandparents here, before going to Pittsburg to attend a house party at the home of ex-Governor William A. Stone.
When here she complained of a slight cold. but seemed in her usual good health. but on Monday of last week Miss Mumma left Pittsburg. going to the home of her aunt. Mrs, B. F. Africa. at Huntingdon. On arrival there it was found that her temperature had reached the alarming height of 105 degrees. and that she was suffering from a very serious case of typhoid fever. Dr. C. A. Rahter of this city. was sent for, and her parents, were summoned from Sea Girt. N.J., their summer home, but in spite of the best medical aid, she died at 9 o'clock yesterday morning. Her brother. Benjamin Meyers Mumma, studying at the naval preparatory school in Annapolis, arrived in Huntingdon only a few hours before her death.
Miss Mumma was well known in musical life and was a violinist of much talent. She was a pupil of Ysaye, the Spanish virtuoso. Two years ago she made her debut at the home of her grandfather and was very well liked among the younger social set.
No funeral arrangements have been made.
Harrisburg (Pennsylvania) Patriot, Wednesday, July 27, 1904:
IN MISS MUMMA'S MEMORY
Window Unveiled and Reredos Blessed at Church in Sea Girt, New Jersy
A memorial window to the late Winifred Irene Mumma, of Harrisburg, was unveiled and a reredos in her memory blessed at the Church of St. Uriel the Archangel, at Sea Girt, N. J., on Sunday afternoon. Rev. Robert M. Beach based his remarks upon the text "Blessed Are the Pure in Heart For They Shall See God." The service which was attended by a large number of friends of the deceased young lady who had spent much time at Sea Girt where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Lewis Mumma, had a summer cottage, was very impressive.
The window is circular and is a copy of one in an old church at Rome. It represents the figure of an angel holding a musical instrument. The reredos was presented by Miss Mumma's brother, Benjamin Meyers Mumma, and bears the following inscription:
"To the Glory of God and in loving memory of an adored sister, Winifred Irene Mumma, who entered into rest October 29, 1903."
