US Court Record District of Maryland, first Tuesday, September, 1843, Samuel Cooper appeared before the Court to become a citizen. He swore that on the 5th October 1840, two years at least before his admission, a native of Ireland, now residing in Baltimore, and upon the testimony of John F. McGilton, that he hath continued to reside within the lmits of the District of Maryland five years at least and one year at least immediately preceding this application within the State of Maryland., etc.
He received his citizenship on October 02, 1843
