"Death of Albert Greenly
Albert Greenly, the proprietor of the hotel and general store at Fairland, Penn township, died suddenly on Saturday evening about 7 o'clock of amorism of the heart. He had been suffering with rheumatism for about a week and seemed to be improving. On Saturday he suddenly became very ill and sent for a physician. Before the latter arrived he was dead. He age was 36 years, 11 months and 16 days.
He was born at Owl Hill and clerked for some years in a store at Brownstown. Four years ago he settled at Fairland. In connection with the store and hotel he bought large quantities of hides from farmers and sold them to tanners. He belonged to Garfield Castle, No. 76 K.G.E., and Lititz Lodge, No. 253 K. of P.
Besides a wife, whose maiden name was Yost, and three small children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Greenly, are living at Pine Hill. Three brothers are also living, John, of Neffsville, Monroe, of Rothsville, and Harry at home.
The funeral took place on Wednesday morning with services and interment at the Lutheran church at Rothsville. Revs. Amos Hottenstein, of EastPetersburg and Rev. Rose, of Brownstown officiated. The pall bearers were Messrs. E. C. Ritchie, L. S. Reedy, H. Fisher of the Knights of Pythias, and Harry Weidman and Emanuel Hall of the Golden eagles."
