ELKHART, IND., MAN DIES AT CRESTLINE

CRESTLINE, Sept. 9 --- John Mumaw, 78, of Elkhart, Ind., died at Emergency hospital Sunday at 4:15 p.m. of a fractured skull received in an automobile accident at 8:10 a.m. Sunday.
Mr. Mumaw was riding with his nephew, A. H. Mumaw and wife of near Wooster, and Mrs. Catherine Mumaw, 87, of Scottville, Pa., mother of A. H. Mumaw and sister-in-law of John Mumaw. They were enroute to Elida, O.
The accident occurred three miles west of Crestline on Route 30-N when the car driven by A. H. Mumaw collided head-on with a car driven by M. W. Faut of Aurora, Ill.
A. H. Mumaw, 52, has several fractured ribs and head injuries. Mrs. Catherine Mumaw suffered cuts, bruises and severe shock. Mr. and Mrs. Faut have body bruises and cuts. All are patients at Emergency hospital. Mrs. A. H. Mumaw escaped injury.
Other than the skull fracture John Mumaw had his nose broken. He was born Jan. 28, 1862 in Holmes county, O.
The body was taken to the Orie Garverick funeral home and was removed to Elkhart at 2 p.m. today where funeral services will be held Wednesday.
