Lucy's full name is Lucinda Elizabeth Shepherd b. May 26, 1826. Her parents are Robert Shepherd b.@1798 and Catherine Earhart b.1802. She is one of four children, all of which were born in Loudoun Co, Va.

Robert and Catherine Shepherd baptized all of their children in the New Jerusalem Evangical Luthern Church in Loudoun on Oct. 1834 and that their father died early in life. After that, Catherine moved the family to Licking, OH and married Ephraim Harris, but I believe Lucy was married by that time.
Note by Doug Mumma. The Moomaw book lists her death as 1874, but that is inconsistent with the 1870 census where Allen is now living with another woman.
