Kenneth Eugene Moomaw
Newark - A graveside funeral service for Kenneth Eugene Moomaw will be held at 1pm, on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Veterans Section in Newark. The Licking County Veterans Alliance will conduct Military Funeral Honors. Family and friends may call from 11am until 12:30pm, on Tuesday, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street.
Kenneth, age 74, of Newark, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. He was born April 1, 1944, in Newark, a son of the late Thomas Everett and Margaret Ethel (Warman) Moomaw. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in country, as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps. For 31 years, he worked at Owens Corning Fiberglas in Newark. He had been a member of the Madison Township Fire Department, Licking County Civil Defense and the American Red Cross.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Susan (Redman) Moomaw; children, Patricia R. Moomaw (Michael S. Moran); Thomas L. Moomaw, Teresa (Moomaw) Lamb; grandchildren, Laci D. Moomaw, Austin M. Moran (Emily M. Puckett) Moran, Kayla Moran, Deziree M. Wickliff and Hailey D. Wickliff; one great-grandchild, Kyra Moran; two sisters, Kate Adams and Doris Moore and his brother Thomas E. Moomaw, II and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Mildred Moomaw, Edna Trimble, Nellie Seigler, Dorothy Euman and Margaret Neighbarger and his brother Donald L. Moomaw.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or Catholic Social Services.
