Mr. John Kloepfer, aged 59 years, and 11 months, died after a long illness of tuberculosis at his home in North Newark Monday at 11:20 a.m. The deceased leaves two daughters, Mrs. Levina Edwards of Cadiz, O., and Miss Alice Kloepfer of this city, and one son, John, also of this place. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed

John Kleopherd was born in Germany, November 17, 1846, and died October 15, 1906, aged 59 years, 10 months and 7 days. The deceased, when only 18 years old, came to this country and in 1852 (sic) was married to Miss Lucy Catherine Moomaw. To this union five (sic) children were born. His wife departed this life about 17 years ago. Since that time his home has been broken up, and he has been living with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lynch, of this city, who tenderly cared for him until death ended his sufferings. He is survived by one son, John Kleopherd, of Roseville, and two daughters, Mrs. Lavinna Edwards of Cadiz, and Miss Alice Kleopherd of Newark, and one sister, who also resides in Newark. The funeral services will be held at the late residence of the deceased on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. J. R. Shepherd of Newark. Burial will be made in Cedar Hill cemetery.
