Information had been provided that Mary E. Moomaw married J. B. Moris. Subsequently, it has been proved per Mary Ellen Morris' death certificate that "Mary E. Moomaw" was the incorrect wife. Jerome B. Morris actually married Mary Ellen Mumaw, the daughter of Conrad Mumaw and Sarah Howard. Mary's husband's name is unknown.

In the 1880 census, she is listed with the name of "Mollie".
