Willis was the third child of six children born to John Alexander and Sarah Elizabeth(REIHLE/RILEY)MOOMAW. Willis was a brother of Frank Ray MOOMAW, Forrest Edgar MOOMAW, Lina Ann MOOMAW, Mary Elizabeth(MOOMAW)ZIEGLER, Venna Roberta(MOOMAW)JONES. Willis married Mary SCHULTZ and had one son, Morton Shultz MOOMAW, who died in 1912 at the age of one month. Mary also died in 1912. Willis then married Mildred HOFFMAN and had one son, John Hoffman MOOMAW. Mildred died in 1919. Willis then married Martha STRAIN.
