Biography written by Leland W. Williams in 2004
--------------------------------------------------
In my early days I attended Church in a Country School. A team of Mules, was used for transportation. In 1916 my father bought his first car. We then started to go to Havelock 5 miles from home.
I attended and became a member of the Church and still on the membership (removed) List. In my early years a group called Epworth League was formed. This was young people and the members would take their turn leading the meetings once per week.
After High school came college (Not the Academic) but one of the few T&I (trade).
This was followed by years of employment such as City of Des Moines Airport, U. S. Army Eng.'s . While a member of this organization I held important positions at two of the major contributions that lead to the winning WW II. This was followed by employment at The Glenn L. Martin Co.
By this time WW II was in full swing. My wife and I were happy to remove our House keeping supplies and settle down to living one place. We were happy to be able to attend a small church and take part in city administration. I became a member of the Fire Department, In time I became Chief and after the war I was employed by The State of Nebraska. This lasted 20 years The Nebraska State Trade School at Milford NE was a good place to raise two boys both graduated from H. S. and attended College.
On one occasion I was ask to escort a group through the College and ended up 6 months late. being employed by the then (area 13) Council Bluffs ,Iowa.
