W. ALLEN DOGGETT, III
Died December 23, 2014 at Leisure Chateau Care and Rehabilitation Center in Lakewood, New Jersey after a long battle with Huntington's Disease. Allen was born in Richmond, Virginia on October 25, 1960, grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, and was graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1983 with a B.A. in Economics and from Boston University in 1989 with a M.A. in Economic Policy. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Virginia Moomaw Doggett. He is survived by his father, Wayland A. "Bud" Doggett, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Dwight Atkinson; sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne Doggett and George Guessford; as well as nieces, Virginia Atkinson, Julia Guessford and a nephew, Jeremy Atkinson. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Heathsville, Virginia on January 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Georgetown Medical University's Huntington's Disease Care, Education and Research Center. Checks can be made payable to The HD CERC Fund with Allen Doggett in the memo line and sent to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Office of Philanthropy, 3800 Reservoir Road, NW, Washington, D.C. 20007.
