Viola Virginia Moomaw, 89, of Edinburg, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Life Care Center.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Conicville by Rev. Katie Gosswein and Rev. John Taylor, Jr. Burial will follow in Conicville Cemetery.
Mrs. Moomaw was born August 11, 1922 in Conicville, daughter of the late Noah and Martha Miller Polk. She was a member of the St. Jacob Lutheran Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Elaine Fadeley of Woodstock; two sons, Earnest Moomaw and wife Evelyn of Edinburg, Alan Moomaw and wife Kelly of Mt. Jackson; six grandchildren, Sandra, Pamela, Stephen, Alan Jr., Randi and Adam; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; a special niece, Martha Harlow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Moomaw.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Moomaw, Alan Moomaw, Jr., Adam Moomaw, Jeff Booher, Josh Rhinehart, and Jimmy Romick.
The family will receive friends Saturday, from 7-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service, Bowmans Crossing.
