His daughter, Connie wrote that Robert changed the spelling of his surname from Mumaw to Moomaw. From the records, it is not apparent that Romanus and Daisy ever married. His mother used her maiden name in the 1920 census and was listed as single, but the 1930 census says she was divorced..
