Bernice Weingarth
SUGARCREEK- Bernice M. Weingarth, 89, formerly of Oak Street in Sugarcreek, died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Oak Pointe Nursing Home in Baltic, after an extended illness.
Born Feb. 17, 1916, in Sugarcreek, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Minnie (Brown) Moomaw.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Church of Christ at Sugarcreek, and its women's guild.
Her husband, Norman Weingarth, whom she married Dec. 3, 1935, preceded her in death April 19, 1998.
Bernice is survived by her son, Fred Weingarth of Dover.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Maxine Mani, Edna Auman, Martha Lenhart and Gladys Myers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at the Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek. The Rev. Dr. Carlan Helgeson will officiate and burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First United Church of Christ building fund or Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
