Lois "Christine" Butler, 92, of Florence, passed away May 31, 2014, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She was a member of Underwood Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 10 a.m.?noon at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at noon in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Pastor Josh Lancaster and Jerry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Butler; parents, Billy and Mamie Moomaw McDaniel; sister, Carlene Ringelstein; brothers, A.J. and James McDaniel; and two more infant brothers.
She is survived by her son, Scotty (Pam) Butler; daughters, Wanda (Cleadus) Lindsey and Joyce (Billy) Moore; brothers, Gene (Dean) McDaniel and Ray (Francis) McDaniel; grandchildren, Rhonda Bryant, Donnie (Rhonda) Lindsey, Connie (Mark) Denton, Micheal (Stacy) Chaney, Amber (Daniel) Seitz, Amanda (Doug) Myhan, and Ashley Butler; stepgrandchildren, Jeff Moore and Regina (Steve) Garner; 11 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Micheal Chaney, Donnie Lindsey, Dwayne Ringelstein, David McDaniel, Kevin McDaniel, and Doug Myhan.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all employees of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home, Alacare Hospice, Sharon Burchell, Jeanette Ford and Jolynn Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
