The Whittenburg College records show that a John T. Mumma of Boonsboro, MD, attended that school from 1849-1850 and was enrolled in "preparatory" classes. The College was founded in 1845 in Springfield, OH.
In 1850, John was rooming in the house of his future wife while attending college.
