Nellie Mae Stickley Moomaw, 90, died on Saturday, May 20, 2006. She was born on April 16, 1916 in Mt. Clifton, Virginia, the daughter of the late Claude Daniel and Beda Mae Fleming Stickley. She was the widow of Wilmer E. Moomaw, the longtime Director of Shrine Mont, the Conference Center of the Episcopal Diocese of Virignia at Orkney Springs. Alongside her husband, she served at Shrine Mont for 50 years, and was a symbol of Shrine Mont's hospitality. She became a much beloved figure and friend for the many who came to Orkney Springs and among whom she will be missed greatly. She is survived by four children, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral service 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2006, The Cathedral Shrine of the Transfiguration, Orkney Springs, The Right Rev. Peter James Lee, Bishop of Virginia, presiding. The family will receive friends at Mrs. Moomaw's home in the afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions to Shrine Mont, P.O.
