His death date is from the cemetery tombstone, however the birth year seems wrong. It is listed as 21 July 1838. From all census data, I believe his birth year was 1840. In the 1860 census he is age 20. In 1870 he is age 29, and Annie is 28. In 1880 he is age 39 and she is 37. The 1900 census lists his age as 59 and was born in July 1840.
