Norman Douglas Aylesworth, age 88, of Worthington, died Wednesday, January 12, 2000 at Riverside Hospital, after a brief illness. Born July 19, 1911 at Big Prairie, Oh. Preceded in death by parents James C. and Dora (Smetzer) Aylesworth and sister Dale Aylesworth. Survived by wife of 64 years, Roberta Aylesworth; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Carrol Aylesworth; and granddaughters, Susan (Geoff) Retz and Laura Aylesworth, all of Columbus. WW II Veteran, 301st Navy Seabees. Member American Legion Post 68, Wooster, Oh. and University Lodge 631 F&AM. Retired special agent from U.S.F.& G. Insurance. Funeral service Friday 2 p.m., January 14, 2000, SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., ( Mile south of I-270), where friends may call Friday before service 12:30 until 2 p.m. Dr. W. Edge Dixon officiating, Interment Kingwood Memorial Park.
