LaRue Ilene Buterbaugh, 91, of Sligo, formerly of Indiana, died Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Sligo.
Born March 25, 1922, in Indiana, she was the daughter of Harvey and Lillia (Moyer) King.
Mrs. Buterbaugh graduated from the Purchase Line School District.
She married Carl ?Sam? Buterbaugh on April 3, 1943. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2002.
Mrs. Buterbaugh was a member of Grace Community Church in Curllsville and also belonged to the Red Hat Society.
She was happiest when working in her beautiful and abundant flower gardens, and in her daily reading of the Lord?s word in the Bible.
Survivors include a son, Warren Carl Buterbaugh of Greensburg; a daughter, Jennifer DeVee Sczerba and her husband, Douglas, of Cody, Wyo.; two grandsons, Shawn M. Buterbaugh and Jason Sczerba; three great-grandchildren, Conner and Aiden Buterbaugh, and Ava Tammy Buterbaugh; and a brother, Boyzy J. King, of Elyria, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
At the family?s request, services will be private.
Private burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery, Glen Campbell.
