Notes:
Harry C. Hoover, 111 N. Antietam Street, Funkstown, died at his home, Wednesday evening after a lengthy illness. He would have been 62 today, January 17.
He was the son of Ms. Emma Katherine (Drenner) Hoover and the late John Thomas Hoover. He was born in Sharpsburg where he spent most of his life. He was an active member of the Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Sharpsburg, and was for several terms a member of the church council. He was also a member of the Erueka Lodge No. 105 A.F. and A.M. where he had been secretary for the past sixteen years. He was a past master of that lodge. Mr. Hoover was employed by the Blue Ridge Transportation Co. and the Potomac Edison Co. At the time of his death he was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical United Brethren Church, Hagerstown.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Lucille (Mumma) Hoover, Funkstown; mother, Mrs. John T. Hoover; sister, Miss Edna M. Hoover; son by a previous marriage, Malcolm H. Hoover; and two grandchildren, all of Sharpsburg.
Services were held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
