Joseph L. Mumau, 36-year old farmer and coal miner, was found dead in bed at 12:30 o'clock yesterday morning at his home in Grant Towndhip, Indiana County.
Dr. Edward L. Fleming, Indiana County corner, was notified and after and investigation said the man died of a heart attack. Mr. Mumau worked in the mines Wednesday afternoon and evening and went to bed immediately after returning home. He was found dead about an hour after he retired.
A native and lifelong resident of Grant Township he was born December 23, 1905, a son of Ira and Nettie (O'Hare) Mumau of Grant Township. Besides his parents he leaves his widow, Mr. Bertha (Ferrier) Mumau and four children - Earl, Phylllis, Roy and Patricia, all at home.
He was a brother of Lloyd Muamu, Greensburg; Kenneth Mumau, Grant Township; Mrs. Zelda Henry, Commodore, and Mrs. Edna Little, Grant Township.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the East Mahoning Baptist Church by Rev. Clayton Straw, pastor. Interment in th echurch cemetery will be directed by Rairigh Funeral Home of Hillsdale. The remains will be removed to the chruch at 12 noon and my be viewed until the time of the funeral.
