Ira Gerald Mumau, 71; of Marion Center, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at his home.
The son of Kenneth Darl and Norma Jean (Ashbaugh) Mumau, he was born Mav 4. 1941. in Deckers Point.
He lived most of his life in Indiana County; except for a few years in Kansas and Michigan.
Ira was a certified General Motors technician who specialized in transmission mechanics. He enjoyed working on automobiles.
He also loved to go hunting and fishing.
Ira is survived by five sons: Ira Dean Mumau and Kenneth D. Mumau II, both of Glen Campbell; Dan Mumau and Jack (Mary Ann) Mumau, both of Marion Center; and Glenn (Myra) Mumau, of Rossiter; his brothers and sisters: Dolores Mumau, of Marion Center; Loretta Mumau. of Indiana; Darl (Barbara) Mumau, of Clymer; Eugene Mumau, of Commodore; Brenda (James) Lowe, of Cherry Tree; and Ellen (Gordon) Wells, of Keller, Texas; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Winifred Riddle.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Rairigh Funeral Home Ltd. in Hillsdale.
There will be no visitation on Thursday. Visitation will begin again at noon Friday at the East Mahoning Baptist Church in Purchase Line, and continue until 2 p.m.; the time of the funeral sen-ice; with Pastor Mark Brady officiating.
Interment will follow in the East Mahoning Cemetery in Purchase Line.
