SOLOMON JEFFERSON MUMMA was born in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio, September 21st, 1833 and died at the home of his sister, Eliza Kline, near Decatur, Ind., January 26th, 1896, aged 62 years, 4 months and 5 days. Bro. Mumma embraced religion and joined the U. B. Church about 43 years ago, and remained a faithful man of God, an earnest and devoted advocate of the church until death. His life evinced the fact that he was faithful in his fidelity to God and man, unswerving in principle, detesting the compromising spirit of the age. He leaves three sisters, with many friends to mourn their loss.The funeral was preached by the writer, assisted by Revs. Beaber and Abbot. Peace to the ashes of the good man.
