Funeral services over the body of John Lindsay, aged forty-six who died of a stroke of apoplexy on the Kunkel farm at Highspire, Sunday, were held yesterday afternoon from the home of his son, Bruce Mumma, 1541 Fulton street. Interment was made in St. John's cemetery, Shiremanstown.
It is interesting that Harry Bruce Mumma provided the death certificate information, but knew nothing about his step father's parents.

I am looking for information on John Bruff Lindsey, his parents and the generations before them. He was born Oct/Nov of 1864/1865 in Mansfield, Ohio. At some point he moved to Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He married Jennie Esther Mumma October 31, 1890 at St. Mark's Church in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. On the marriage application he listed his father as Isaac Lindsey, no mother is listed. Jennie had a child out-of-wedlock before marrying that John raised as his own named Harry Bruce Mumma. John and Jennie had a daughter that preceded them in death named Mary Margaret Lindsey, born April 13, 1891, died January 26, 1908. John provided the information for Mary Margaret's death certificate and stated he was born in Mansfield, Ohio in the box requesting information on the father of the deceased. However, when John died in 1910 there is no information provided or known for his parents.
I have lots of information for his wife's family and their children and the generations that came from them. I have a name for his father (first?, middle?) and that's it. I have checked census records for Mansfield, OH and Cumberland, PA with no listing for Isaac Lindsey. John and Jennie are buried in a section of St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA, with a large portion of the family including her parents but none of John's family.
If you can provide me with information on John Bruff Lindsey's family I would greatly appreciate it.
