ST. PARIS ? Jerry F. Goodson, age 74, of Saint Paris passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015, at 11:25 p.m. in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana. Born on October 26, 1940, in Champaign County, Jerry was a son of the late Charles and Rachael (Mumma) Goodson. He married Bonnie Hess on August 31, 1963, and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Ronald E. Goodson of St. Paris; three grandchildren, Brandy Sallee, Allysha Kearns and Bradley Goodson; four great-grandchildren, two brothers, John (Barbara) Goodson and Darrell (Carolyn) Goodson; a sister, Brenda (Jack) Williamson, all of St. Paris; and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was a 1959 graduate of Graham High School and a member of the Myrtle Tree Baptist Church. He was a member of Harmony Lodge #8, Urbana, and was formerly employed by Navistar of Springfield for 35 years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. in the ATKINS-SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, with Reverend Robert Plummer of the Myrtle Tree Baptist Church presiding. Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery, N. Heck Hill Road, St. Paris.
