Farmer Killed In Car Accident
URBANA, O., Oct. 18 --- William G. Mumma, 28-year-old near Mechanicsburg farmer, was killed early today when his car overturned on a curve on Route 29 near the Champaign-Madison county line.
The coroner's verdict was death due to a fractured skull. The State Highway Patrol said Mumma apparently fell asleep at the wheel.

Served in U. S. Navy from October 6, 1942, to November 2, 1945. Rate at time of discharge was Water Tender, 2nd Class (WT2). Served aboard the USS Mobile (CL-63).
Married Dorothy May Rust on May 22, 1943; parents of one son.
