Betty J. (Mumma) Overla age 80 of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2001 at Kettering Memorial Hospital. Betty was a lifelong resident of Englewood, and a member for over 50 years of the Englewood United Methodist Church where she was active with the United Methodist Women and other church activities. Betty was a graduate of the Randolph High School Class of 1938, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, West Milton. She was preceded in death by her husband: Max L. Overla in 1994, with whom she owned & operated Overla Tool & Die and the Northmont Tool & Die Companies. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Norbert & Pamela Overla of Brookville, daughters & sons-in-law: Linda & Don Ireland of Indianapolis, IN., and Maxine & Eric Elliott of Louisville, KY., 6 grandchildren, sister-in-law: Gloria Mumma of Union, many nieces, nephews, other family members & friends. She was preceded by her parents: Arthur R. & Elsie (Fetters) Mumma, and a brother: Don E. Mumma. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 10:30 a.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home with the Reverends George Sidwell & John Eley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Interment will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Englewood. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Englewood United Methodist Church.
