Elizabeth Mumaw Dead: Former Odon Woman Passes Away
Mrs Oliver Mumaw formerly of this township passed away at her home at University Heights, Indianapolis, last Friday her death being caused by complication of diseases. Elizabeth Adams Mumaw was born in Tuscarawas Co., OH in 1852 and was 62 years of age at the time of her death. On Oct 17, 1872, she was united in marriage to Oliver Mumaw and to this union was born two children, one son and one daughter. The son Stanley passed away in Sept 1908. Mrs. Mumaw is survived by the husband and the daughter, Mrs Addie Tomey who resides at Indianapolis, one brother James Adams of Cuba, Mo. one sister, Mrs Sarah Chandler of Odon and a half brother, Joseph M Boyd also of this city. She was a thorough christian, energetic in all church work and particularly in missionary and aid work. The funeral services were held at Pleasant Hill Church with Rev. L. L. Schoonover of Vincennes in charge assisted by Rev. T. A. Garriott of this city. Burial was made in the cemetery at Pleasant Hill.
*her parents where Conrad Adams and Mary Jane Vaughan Boyd, she also had a brother Wm Adams who married Barbara Shafer and a sister Rachel Adams who married Daniel Weaver also a 1/2 sister Mary Jane Boyd Dillon, 1/2 brother Alexander Boyd and 1/2 sister Martha.
