One of Irnonville's Oldest Residents
Passes Away

Andrew Mumma, one of Ironville's oldest and best known residents, died yesterday afternoon at four o'clock. Death was due to general infirmities incident with advanced age. About five weeks ago he fell down a flight of steps at his hom and it ws thought at that time that he was stricken with a paralalic stroke. Since then he was unable to leave the house and several days ago began to sink rapidly until death set in.
He was seventy-two years of age and resided at Ironville all his life. He was a staunch Republican and at one time served as door-keeper in the House of Representatives in Harrisburg. he was also supervisor of West Hempfield township for several years.
He was a veteran of the civil war and was a member of Geneeral Welsh Post, No. 118, G.A.R. of this place.
Deceased is survived by one son, David, who resides on Spruce Street in this place. The funeral will take place Thursday morning at ten o'clock from the Irnonville Church.
