From a small book Uncle John Mumma has -

"Family records of grandfather and his offspring to the present time.
Frederick Mumma was born in Germany, came to America young, died February 8, 1814 and was 84 years of age. His wie, Fronica, her maiden name was Nolt, died in 1807. They had nine children - John, Elizabeth, Jacob, Amy, Christian, Barbara, Jonas, David and Mary. These came to maturity"

"My mother, Martha Sherrick, was born 1797 and died 1842, the 25th of April - aged 51 years. My father, Christian Sherrick was born 1773, 16th of June, died the 25th October 1847 - aged 74 years, 3 months, 5 days.
My daughter, Catherine Mumma, died Aug 2, 1858 - aged 6 years, 3 mos. & 5 days.
Jonas Mumma, Jr. died April 8, 1878 aged 29 years - 4 mos & 19 days..
Christian Sherrick died 12 day of Jan 1882,
Our grandfather's name was Joseph Sherrick - born in 1734 in December
Our grandmother's name was Susanna Strickler and married grandfather in 1807
Our father, Christian Shirk, married our mother Magdalena Rohrer in 1807.
