"Susannah Montz, probably the older sister of Joseph, married Peter Moomaw. He was a school teacher in Pittsburgh, Penn. Joseph lived with them for a while before he was married. Susannah's daughter, Mary, died of T.B. Her son, William, lived for a short time on the "80" (acres) a mile east of the Joseph Montz farm. It was all timber with just a cabin on it. William worked around the neighborhood and for his Uncle Joseph. His wife had spasms. When they lived there they had one little girl, but they had other children afterwards. In 1866 or 1867 they moved to Warsaw, Indiana."
