Charles Brubaker bought his land in Clark County, Green Township,Ohio
from a Lewis Laybourn in the amount of $150.00 for two(2)acres of land in the
SW 1/4 Section 16-Township 5-Range 8 on Nov. 16,1889 and was paid by Elizabeth.
They purchased 30 acres in same area section 22- Township 5- Range 8 from
Nehemiah Hall and Margaret (Mumma) Hall 11 Feb. 1873 .Think it was sold back to
Nehemiah and Pleasant Hall at later date.
He was a truck farmer and later started an Abbatoir business
The Brubaker land was located on the NW 1/4 Sect.22 Twp.5 Range 8
NW corner of Mill Creek and E.Jackson Rd.* NOTE: I have been told this house was
moved from original spot, directly west, across Pitchin Road, property owned by
Benhams. The porch was removed and windows replaced.
Vol 57, page 369, found in Deed Book Vol.99,page 180. There are more
deeds recorded if one wants to search.
Another transaction in Deed Book Vol.219 page 468 on Oct. 16 1920 with a son
Charles. He was a farmer and later had a Abattoirs business in which he shared
with some of his children, particularly his eldest son,Burry and Wallace.
