ISAAC MUMMA PASSED AWAY AT AGE OF 75
-----------------------------------------------------------
Isaac Mumma, widely known throughout the city for many years as a dairyman and milk dealer, who operated a dairy farm just east of where the Lebanon Valley Iron and Steel plant is now located, died this morning at his home, at 420 East Lehman street, East Lebanon. He was stricken with paralysis about a year ago, and was several times attacked, since which time he has failed steadily in health.
Mr. Mumma was aged 75 years. He spent most of his lifetime on the farm and for many years drove one of his dairy wagons himself. For several years past he has lived a retired life, but for the assistance he rendered to his son and only child, Harry Mumma, who is engaged in the butterine business in the Rise block, on Eighth street.
Besides the son named, he leaves his second wife, and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Heagy, of Steelton.
He was a Republican in politics, and some years ago served a term as director of the poor. He was a member of Zion Lutheran church, and was highly esteemed by those who knew him, and were familiar with his many fine traits of heart and mind.
NOTE: There appears to be several errors in this article. 1) There is no evidence that Isaac was living with a second wife when he did. The census, taken only a few days before his death listed the same wife he had lived with for 53 yrs.
