OBITUARTY - Melba Dean Easley July 1, 1919-April 5, 2001
HANNIBAL ? Melba Dean Easley, 81, of Hannibal, died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Beth-Haven Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Grand View Burial Park with burial following. The Rev. David Huck will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. p.m. Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
Mrs. Easley was born July 1, 1919 in Ralls County to Benjamin F. and Pearl E. Glascock Mooma.
She was married to Marion F. Easley on Dec. 8, 1942. He preceded her in death Nov. 1, 1994.
Survivors include, a stepdaughter, Beverly Powers, Bettendorf, Iowa; a stepson, Larry Easley, Westminister, Calif.; and two step-granddaughters, Gina Lane Easley, Portland, Maine, and Lisa Lane Easley, Arlington, Va.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Francis Mooma.
The family wishes to add she is survived by a sister-in-law, Lee Mooma, Chico, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Easley retired from the Marion County Court House in Hannibal after 40 years of service. She had worked for the Marion County Collector's office and the Marion County Assessor's office.
Memorials may be made to the Arch United Methodist Church.
