Judith E. "Judy" Mumma, 67, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Manor Care in Lancaster after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 15, 1941, in Lock Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Charlotte (Nyce) Wilson.
Judy and her husband, Lester K. Mumma, Jr., celebrated 50 years of marriage on February 8, 2009. An animal lover, she enjoyed traveling in their Motorhome and cooking.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kenneth M. Mumma, husband of Sandy, of Mount Joy, Robert W. Mumma, husband of Chrie, of Manheim; a daughter, Sherry A., wife of Chad Busswood, of Lancaster; eight grandchildren; a brother, Robert Wilson, husband of Joan, of Reading; four sisters, Lois, wife of James Reynolds, of Lancaster, Beverly Jean Wilson, of Lancaster, Margaret Hicks, of Johnstown and Dona, wife of Dave McComsey, of Quarryville. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Mumma, and two brothers, William and Terry Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church, 163 West Frederick Street, Millersville, PA on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 10 AM with Rev. John A. Laughlin, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA. Friends may view at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551, 717-872-2266, on Wednesday between 7 and 9 PM and also at the church on Thursday between 9 and 10 AM. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in Judy's memory to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Lancaster County.
