Notes:
Lula Marie Kinnaman, the fifth child and third daughter of James Hamilton and Mary Elizabeth, was born 6 or 14 November 1878 or 14 September 1880 in Odon, Indiana. She married Leander Worth Freeman on 15 April 1900. Leander, whose family name was Lan, was born 10 March 1878 in Odon. His parents were Charles W. Freeman and Julia Sommers.
Lula and Lan had four children, Edith (1901), Robert Ray (1904), Frank (1907), and Mary Jane (1924).
Lan owned and operated a bakery in Odon and delivered bread and baked goods throughout Daviess County. His son Robert made many of the deliveries. The entire family, except for Lula, were musically inclined and played music mostly for their own enjoyment. Later in life Lan and Lula moved to Florida during the winter months. Lan's brother, Ross, owned a pool hall in Odon, and later moved to California. Lan also had two other brothers, Harold and Walter, and a sister, Lizzie (perhaps Elizabeth), who married a man with the surname Fisher and who lived near Lula and Lan in Odon.
Lula died 6 May 1948 in St. Petersburg, Florida, and was buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Odon, Leander died 20 September 1960 in Vincennes, Indiana, and was buried in Walnut Hill next to Lula.
