The Medway Trouble
A. B. Mumma, of Medway, who fired at Henry Harnish on Tuesday night, was brought into Squire Stout's court Thursday afternoon to answer to the charge of shooting with intent to killl. He pled "not guilty" and was placed under $500 bond for his appearence next Thursday morning at 9:o'clock. His sureties are Amos Mumma and William Burns.
Albert B.Mumma was the s/o Frederick and Anna Mumma. He married Bell Schenck Feb. 7, 1891 in Clark Co., OH
He married Mary Hettle November 9, 1899 in Clark Co., OH She died Sept. 1, 1906. Mary was the d/o George Hettle & Elizabeth Struckin. She first married Reubin Harnish. Henry Harnish was Albert Mumma's step-son. Reubin and Mary are buried at the Medway cemetery.
Albert is listed in the 1920 Indiana census, Wayne County, Richmond City. ED#168
He is living with a Mary E. Host, also age 62 and they are both widowed.
