Notes:
Liz Doebler has reported Anna's birth as Feb 7 1802
1860 Census, PA, Lancaster Co., West Hempfield Twp., p. 946, 18th June 1860
Anna Mumma, 56, domestic, $3000 real estate, $135 personal property, b. PA
[In the 1870 census, Annie owns the real estate and son, Joseph & family are living in the household. Because of the names of the children, I believe that Joseph is actually John as the age would be that of John. It is possible that John died and Joseph is simply living in the house with the rest of the family, but he is in the head of the household postion.]
1870 Census, PA, Lancaster Co., West Hempfield Twp., p. 489, 21 July 1870
Mumma, Joseph, 38, Carpenter, $400 personal property, b. PA
Elizabeth, 35, Keeping house, b. PA
Mary, 12, at home, b. PA
Joseph, 10, at home, b. PA
Peter, 7, at home, b. PA
Annie, 4, b. PA
Martha, 2, b. PA

Annie, 66 at home, $2500 real estate,

Mumma, Anna, 76, Keeping house, b. PA, father b. PA, mother b. PA
Wallenbach, John, 12, servant, b. PA, father b. Germany, mother b. Germany
[it appears that Anna's granddaughter, Annie, age 10, is living two doors away in the household of the John Stellinger family as a servant - has her father, John died?]
Of interest, the 1864 map of West Hempfield lists a "Mrs. Mumma" as living just north of Mountville between Jacob Kauffman & David Kauffman. There are two Peter Mummas also living near by. I believe this "Mrs. Mumma" is the widow, Anna Mumma who owns land in the 1860, 1870 &1880 census.
