Ermajean "Cookie" Beam, 79, of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014, at the Hershey Medical Center.
She was born January 13, 1935, in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Monroe and Beatrice (Mumma) Etzwiler.
Ermajean was retired from the Citizens Bank after 25 years of service, where she worked as a teller trainer. She previously worked for Nationwide Insurance Company. Ermajean was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, New Kingstown and the Eastern Star, Carlisle.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gerald C. Beam; one son, Douglas C. Beam and his wife Deborah of Dillsburg; one sister, Nancy Morgan of Hershey; and two grandchildren, Rachel and Zachary Beam. Ermajean was preceded in death by a son, David B. Beam.
Services will be held Monday, January 20, 2014, at 2:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. A visitation will be held Monday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Goodyear Cemetery, Gardners.
