Ruth Mumma Maus, 98, formerly of Enola, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Stonebridge Health & Rehab Center, Duncannon. She was born July 25, 1921, in Linglestown, PA, to Joseph E. and Kathryn (Moyer) Mumma. She graduated from Lower Paxton High School in 1939. She was the loving wife of Nelson L. Maus, Jr., with whom she shared 73 years of marriage, and who preceded her in death in 2016. Ruth was a homemaker whose greatest joy was spending time with her family, and she lovingly welcomed each new addition. She was a lifelong member of First U.M. Church, Harrisburg, where she sang in the choir and actively served in many capacities. Ruth will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit, her warm smile, and her love of people and animals. Most of all, she will be remembered as a woman of faith, who loved and served her God and who was a prayer warrior for her family, friends and neighbors. Ruth is survived by daughter, Nancy McIntosh, Wawaka, IN; son, Donald (Delores), Harrisburg; daughter-in-law, Virginia Maus, Camp Hill; seven grandchildren, Cindy Maus, Pamela Perrelli, Kelly (Bill) Helsley, Shelley (Ken) Baer, Amanda (Jim) Maus, Tim (Carolyn) Maus, and Tammy (Ben) Slocum; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey; a brother, Marlin Mumma; and sisters, Mary Gingrich and Kathryn Blottenberger Houck. A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, PA. A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on the 29th in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
