Notes:
Hiram W. Stehman was born March 19, 1856; died at his home in Landisville, Pa., May 13, 1937; aged 81y 1m 23d. Nov. 24, 1881, he was united in marriage to Annie M. Brenneman. During his last days he gave expression of his willingness to bear his affliction with patience because of the suffering Christ endured for us. He also left a bright testimony of his confidence in his heavenly home. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Daniel B., Mrs. H. B. Hiestand, Mrs. H. L. Mumma, Anna B., Harry B. and Phares B.; also by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him forty-seven years ago. Funeral services were held May 16 at the home by H. G. Kauffman, and at the Landisviile Mennonite Church by C. W. Frank and H. E. Lutz. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
