Mrs. Earl O. Wonderly - Mrs. Gussie M. Wonderly, 89, of route 2,
Oakland, died last Thursday, May 20, at her home in the Pleasant Valley
community. Born at Hartmansville, W. Va., October 6, 1886, she was the
daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Roderick) Moomaw. Her
husband, Earl O. Wonderly, died on May 13, 1973. For many years she was
active in the Loch Lynn Baptist church, and later, until her death, in
the Loch Lynn United Brethren Church. Mrs. Wonderly is survived by her
three sons, William L. of Mexico City, Mexico; Daniel E., route 2
Oakland; and Carl J. Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Noah (Ella)
Gnegy; and Mrs. Harry (Bernice) Shaffer, both of Oakland; and nine
grandchildren. The body was taken to the John O. Durst funeral home in
Oakland and services were held on May 24 from the Loch Lynn United
Brethren Church with Re. Oscar W. Hull officiating. Interment was in
the Wonderly family cemetery.
