Gilbert F. Moomaw - Gilbert Franklin Moomaw, 58, formerly of Mr. Lake
Park, was pronounced dead March 18, at the U.S. 301 Scales, Dahlgren,
Va., where he was employed. Mr. Moomaw had been employed at the U.S.
Goverment Interior Department of Geological Survey Water Resources, in
Charlottesville, Va. He had retired in 1971 from the Naval Surface
Weapons Center at Dahlgren after thirty years of service. At his death
he was employed by the Virginia Department of Highways and
Transportation at the Dahlgren Scales. Surviving are his wife, Fredrica
Hamlet Moomaw; one daughter, Polly Elise Moomaw; one son, G. Dunbar
Moomaw, all of Dahlgren; and one son Randolf Lee Moomaw, San Diego,
Calif.; his mother Mrs. Della Moomaw, Oakland; two sisters, Mrs. Wilma
E. Canty, Oakland; and Mrs. Louise M. Stanton, Deep Creek Lake. Rev.
Robert Hungerford officiated at graveside services at Historyland
Memorial Park in King George, Virginia.
