Hazleton Plain Speaker; Wednesday, January 4, 1888:
For the past five years Mrs. Salinda Mumaw, of Donegal Hill, has been suffering with a cataract on the right eye and was not able to see out of it. About two years ago a cataract began forming on the left eye and fears were entertained that she would become totally blind. Nothing was done, however, until about three weeks ago when Dr. H. B. Casselberry, the occulist, performed an operation and removed the cataract from the right eye. Both eyes were bandaged and the old lady compelled to lye in one position until yesterday morning when the bandages were removed and to the surprise of her friends Mrs. Mumaw was able to see clearly out of both eyes, and is now walking about the house. Mrs. Mumaw is 70 years of age and the recovery of her eyesight is something that was not expected.

Salinda Mumaw sold land in 1861 in Conyngham, PA. Perhaps that is when Daniel Mumaw died?
