Notes:
After the death of their father, John and Florence Mumma were placed under the guardianship of James F. Naille of Hanover, York Co., PA. James Naille lived in Hanover and was a lawyer and had married Anna Catharine Barnitz, who was the sister of their Uncle. It is thorough the cemetery records that we discover another child, Florence's sister, had been born and died.
On 13 Apr 1856, about 3 years after their father died, their mother married for a second time to Jacob Vorhis.
