Notes:
A marriage for Thomas F. Mumma appears in the Berks County records. An application date of 1898, so he didn't rush into marriage since his twin boys were born in Feb of 1897.
In addition, Thomas fathered an illegitimate son with Emma Berger by the name of William Thomas Mumma, b: 18 May 1987.
The RootsWeb page of Guy L. Bierman contains the following statement.
"Elizabeth's first husband was a Mumma and he deserted the family, which at that time has three children. Liz married in 1908 to Tom Snyder and had two additional children. She was a member of Oley Lutheran Church."

By 1900, Thomas moved in with his mother and her new husband. Apparently the marriage and children were not to his liking.
